How To Clean Your Ninja Foodi Air Fryer Lid

This is a list of the essential tools and substances necessary to successfully remove grime, pieces of food, or grease. These tools can be used to clean other devices from Ninja. Such as Ninja smart kitchen system.

Deep cleaning the Ninja requires you to have the following:

  • Paper towel or two
  • 250 to 300ml of lemon juice
  • 500ml of warm water divided into two cups (for easy cleaning without a lot of scrubbing I suggest hot water)
  • Bottle brush with gentle bristles, avoid using abrasive bristles made of hard materials. Those could damage your Foodi lid and air fryer itself.
  • Soft, lint-free piece of cloth

Once you are positive that you have everything on the list, it’s time to start cleaning your Ninja Foodie!

Best Way to Deep Clean Ninja Foodi Lid

In order to follow the whole process more easily and to make sure that you won’t make a mistake along the way. I divided the process into five easy-to-follow steps.

Step 1: The first step is a logical one. Start by unplugging your Ninja air fryer. DO NOT USE WATER IF THE DEVICE IS PLUGGED IN!

Step 2: Remove the lid and pour the water and lemon juice into the cooking pot of Ninja Foodi. Mix the liquid with a spoon, or if you want to make it easier, boil the liquids together before you pour them into the device.

Step 3: It’s cleaning time! Soak the cloth or sponge in the mixture and clean the whole cooking area of the device. I recommend that you use some sort of microfiber cloth. That is the only way you can be sure that the surface won’t get damaged no matter how hard you scrub.

Step 4: Now pull out the bottle brush to scrub all places on the lid that are hard to reach otherwise. I want to point out once more that it is extremely important that it’s non-abrasive. Dip the brush into the lemon juice and water mixture and take your time. Brush as long as it’s needed to remove all the grease stuck on the inside of the lid. From my experience, 20 minutes should be enough to clean even the dirtiest Ninja Foodi lid and air fryer itself.

Step 5: Finally, make sure to rinse the air fryer so that you don’t have a lemony flavor in your next meal. Once you are done with the rinsing, use a soft cloth or paper towel to soak all the water that’s left inside. Let the device dry and that is basically it. You easily cleaned your Ninja Foodi.

3 Important Things to Keep in Mind

  • Don’t use oven cleaner! It can cause serious damage to your device because of the heavy chemicals inside of it.
  • Never submerge the lid in dish soap and water! That is not the right way to clean the lid. Once it gets completely under the water, there’s a possibility that water will go where it’s not supposed. On top of that, this would be considered an inappropriate use of the device, and that voids the warranty.
  • Make sure that the device is fully dry before every use. Safety should be your first concern!

And that’s that! It’s not that complicated, is it? If you carefully follow all the steps above, you’ll learn how to clean Ninja Foodi air fryer lid in no time. Enjoy this magnificent device, I know that I do.
